First off, give me all the information that you know you want to include for the role play, like specific rules or ideas on any themes, etc. Anything that comes to mind.

Well, I heard the idea going around of a homeworld ship being hijacked by rebels, one that are transporting prisoners (broken gems/traitors to yellow diamond)

That actually sounds really fun. If that's all you have right now you can easily add stuff later.
With that, you should probably start with the profile creation- what do they need to fill out?
I'd say gem for one thing, as in the gem name / type of gem they are.
And gender representation. Since it's not canon they can have either male or female or anything else, really.
Height is always a good idea so that people can post 'looking up' or 'looking down' to other characters. Height is important.
Personality and Description are also important.
And gems often have powers and/or weapons so making a subject for that would be a good idea too.
Why don't you try making a profile code for them to fill out?

Okay, sorry about not replying as quickly. I've been preoccupied and really dense. Feck it, I'm done saying sorry for being normally who I am. A nervous wreck that wishes to be confident.
How's this look for a profile and it's corresponding code?
Gem: Nickname: Gender Representation (Pronouns Used?): Height: Personality: Description:
Gem:
Nickname:
Gender Representation (Pronouns Used?):
Height:
Personality:
Description:

Oh, do you think knowing they're a rebel/broken/defective/corrupted/home gem might be important enough to include that as a subject in the code?
Powers/weapons might be a good idea too.

For Gem State, it would be a good idea to include defective as well. Broken will sometimes mean defective but broken in this case means the gem itself is damaged whereas defective meant something went wrong in it's creation (for example if you're to go by that one head-canon Pearl and most likely Amethyst).
A question you think of answering would be "Would role players be able to make gems with the same gem name? I.e. there may be multiple emeralds and they all look different?" If the answer is yes, how should they tell each other apart? If no, would the role players be calling dibs on certain gems?

Gem: (Can be more than one of the same gem and can look different. Multiple gem theory going on here.) Nickname: Alliance: (Homeworld, Rebel, Prisoner) Gem State: (Regular, Broken, Corrupted, Defective) Gender Representation (Pronouns Used?): Height: Personality: Description:
Gem:
Nickname:
Alliance: (Homeworld, Rebel, Prisoner)
Gem State: (Regular, Broken, Corrupted, Defective)
Gender Representation (Pronouns Used?):
Height:
Personality:
Description:

That looks good. The next best thing to do is work on the settings of the role play. Where can role play take place? You said earlier that there was going to be a ship that transports the gems but where else can role play happen, if anywhere else?

Setting would most likely consist of the ship, earth and homeworld (possibly.) The last two depend on where the ship winds up or it's pilot.

I would suggest describing places within the ship and places where it could possibly land.

Well, I'll work on it when I can. I have a good idea but I'll build it out in singleplayer a bit to understand it.

That's a good idea. For locations to role play you can make a combination of detailed description, pictures, and maps. Creating a name for each specific room/spot to role play would be a good idea to make it easier for characters to tell each other where they're going or where they are.
