Most of the following rules, if broken, can result from a warning, to three temporary bans of different lengths, to a permanent ban if attitude and behavior do not change. Please read each rule carefully and be sure not to break any, no matter how small a rule it is!

Please don't forget that, though our administration has to follow the these rules too, they're also just as much protected by them!

Terms of Service

Minecraft Server
1. If you are having problems with a particular member on the server (or if you see anyone breaking the rules below), send Keiran or another admin screenshots of their harassment/crime (conversation before and after included) on this website or send it to an admin through skype. Please do not submit it via a group conversation or in the forum- this kind of stuff is private until it's resolved and the admins will deal with it appropriately. In some instances we may ask that you hold a join.me or some form of livestream! If we find that you have fabricated evidence and lied to us through your report, we'll be keeping a close eye on you from now on.

2. Once your character has been accepted you mustn't change their profile's description without approval from an administrator. Doing so is underhanded and is a smack in the face to the administrative team, whether they were the ones who reviewed it or not. Don't do it.

3. When you are approved you must always wear your troll’s or eau lourde's skin during filming and all role plays on the server (casual or official). The skin must always be of the accepted application (the one we reviewed and accepted) while on our server during role play of any kind. If you hop on with a different skin by accident or if you're building or doing some other project, so long as you're not role playing then it's fine. Lore Reserves are an exception to this rule.

4. Once you hop onto the server for the first time, you must use the /nick command to match your character's name. Trolls must have both their first and last names, first letter of each capitalized and no space between. Eau Lourde may only have their first name with the first letter of their name capitalized. The only exception to this rule are for Lore Reserves and Lore Reserves only. Don't joke around with the /nick and please do not use your /nick to pretend to be someone else, admin or not, as doing so automatically results in a ban if you're caught. There are no warnings for this one.

5. Close any and all doors that you open. If you find that someone had left a door open, please close it. This prevents animals that can't be tamed from getting out of pens and hives and also prevents unwanted animals and hostile mobs from getting in. You wouldn't leave a door open in real life unless you were asked to so why leave them open on our server?

6. You may destroy/collect blocks in the wilderness but please be weary of other troll’s hives locations and don’t ruin their natural setting with your digging. If you make any holes near a stranger’s hive, cover them. Do not collect or destroy blocks that are near another troll’s hive. Some trolls live in trees and caves, so be weary of what blocks you destroy. Asking the trolls who live nearby for permission is a good idea, as they may not want you destroying blocks in certain areas. You especially need to ask them if you're building near someone's village, a city that's still under construction, a lore reserve, etc. This will result in a scolding that will later turn into warnings if you do this over and over again. You can pretty much build anywhere else on the server, so just be careful where you're building to ensure you're not too close to someone's project.

7. Destroying parts of someone's hive and taking their items/blocks without permission is considered griefing and isn't allowed. Anyone caught will be permanently banned from the server- no ifs, ands, or buts. Building unnecessary structures is also considered griefing but these will result in a warning.

8. Building anything religious or religious based is not allowed on the server. We're not saying you can't have religious views or follow a certain religion, but you can't share that with others (building or discussion) on our server, on our teamspeak, on our website, or any of our skype group chats. Same goes for political views that relate to parties or who you're voting for (this can be done in private messaging so long as you're not trying to prove someone wrong for their beliefs).

9-A. Hate and discrimination towards anyone (minus in-character role playing) are not allowed. This includes race, religion, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identification, etc. Do not misunderstand this rule- unless someone specifically says outright that they are doing something because they are against a certain group of people, then they are not promoting hate or discrimination against anyone. Breaking this rule also results in a permanent ban. We don't give anyone who discriminates a chance to be on our server.

9-B. If you hate someone or strongly dislike someone that's fine. But don't go around spreading lies about them. This is a manipulation tactic, as is guilt-tripping and victimizing yourself. None of this is allowed on the server. Now if you come forward because you believe someone is doing this to you or someone else, that's fine. Talk to the administration about it, not other users. It's our job to protect you. If you're caught manipulating and lieing, you'll receive a ban for manipulation, and a warning for lieing. There's a reason why you're instantly banned for manipulation versus simply lieing: Manipulation is dangerous for the victim's health.

10-A. Do not harass anyone on our server for any reason. If you’re in character during role playing try not to go overboard (this includes attacking/killing players randomly when we're not playing a VIP Game). Do not spam any command available to you (unless you're just using the global talk command in which case you just need to stop when someone tells you to stop- do not spam on purpose). Going overboard may result in many of our players getting annoyed. This rule also stands in any skype/teamspeak chat- whether it's the admin chat, the trollme au server chat and the server's social chat. It also goes for our website's forum, chat, and private messaging. What you say there can affect what happens on the minecraft server itself. No one harasses any of my members and gets away with it. This is a fact.

10-B. Along the lines of harassment (and is included as), are opinions. Now having an opinion and is all fine and dandy. If you dislike or disagree with something that's fine. But that doesn't give you a ticket to shove your opinion down someone else's throat, especially when someone else's opinion that you are opinionated against is completely harmless.

12. Keep cursing to a minimum and try to stay PG-13 with what you say and do while on the server. There’s really no rule against going above PG-13 but I ask that you try to keep lower, for the sake of any younger people who join the server or people who are otherwise bothered by that kind of language or actions pertaining to it. Try to avoid nasty stereotypes and dark humor, plus any foul language that may trigger victims of abuse (this includes discriminatory phrases against minorities). Even if it's only in-character it needs to be avoided.

13. Do not give out any of your personal information such as address, phone numbers, full name, etc. This is for your safety. If someone asks you for any of your personal information, please let an admin know right away! The only exception to this rule is skype usernames, which is a way the members contact each other when they are not on minecraft or TeamSpeak.

14. Role playing can be done at any time. If you choose to role play, let others know who are on the server, or just got on it, so that they might know and won't accidentally stumble upon your role play (or they may even want to join in).

15. To VIP players: Do not abuse the commands you have been given. Do not teleport players without their permission, do not stock your shop with any rare items obtained through creative mode, do not attack someone while you are in creative mode (or grief build/destroy on the server), and do not use any armor or weapons obtained through creative mode during games. Any such abuse will result in the loss of your VIP status, regardless if you paid for it or not.

Website
1. Keep everything PG-13 or below. Posts can not have talk or acts of sex, especially between an adult and minor, descriptions or revealing pictures and videos of naked bodies or private parts, detailed descriptions, pictures, or video of gore, mention or use of drugs, and/or curse words. Your post will be deleted.

2. Do not share any of your private information. This means you can not give out your email, address, full name, phone number, etc. The only exceptions to this rule are skype and any website or game that you'd enjoy playing on with another member.

3. There is no discrimination of any kind allowed. Do not spew hate over private messages and/or in our forums. See 9-A from 'Minecraft Server' for a more in-depth explanation.

4. Be weary of other peoples triggers. That being said, try not to be trigger-happy. Don't use everything as a trigger and a reason to get upset with someone. That's just childish behavior and insulting when you label something as a trigger when it's not. Simple disagreements are not to be considered triggers and are actually part of every day life. Get used to it. This applies to the server as well.

5. Give credit where credit is due. If you use a picture from another website and it isn't yours or it is yours but was made by someone else, link back to the original picture's location or the original artist's website. Please do not do this to anyone, especially not on our website.

6. Keep politics and religion out of our forums. It's fine and dandy to talk about it in private on another website but doing it here can cause a huge fight between members and it's extremely difficult to break up a fight over someone's personal views and beliefs. This especially goes for anyone who is a member of our minecraft server or plans to be as it can cause huge problems on the server itself.

7. Do not send a hateful message of how you can't get onto the server because it's whitelisted or direct hate at any of the administrators because your application to our server has been declined. There's a reason why we whitelist our server and it's to cut down the number of harassers and griefers that only join our server to bother other players. If you've been declined you would have also been sent a message with a review from our administrators telling you why you've been declined. Declination doesn't automatically mean you can never get onto our server (our review message would have told you that) so you have no reason to be angry with the administrators just for doing their job. Just read their reviews and make the proper modifications. It doesn't take very long at all.

Point I'm going to make here and now: Joining our server and becoming an official member is a privilage, not a right. It's not your server so you don't have a reason to get angry at the administration for running it the way they do. If you honestly think you know how to better run a server then no one is stopping you from making your own. Sending us a harassing message that tells us we're terrible for whitelisting our server and even worse for creating guidelines is a waste of everyone's time. If you honestly have nothing better to do, there are several hobbies we believe would suit whatever skill set you might have. Please do those instead.
