What better way to enshrine our beloved first role play series than with a 30-minute-episode series based on said role play? I can pretty much tell you there is no other better way (save maybe for making a full animation series which none of us have the skills to do).
Project 1: Testing for Previews
We need to test if we can even do this series in the first place. To test, we're going to try and create a Preview- like one you'd see of video games, movies, or new TV shows. The song we're going to be using is going to be No Redemption, No Escape - created by our beloved Kenji-B for our server, and it will span the entirety (or the majority) of the Preview. There is going to be dialog in the preview as well. We'll start on Project 1 as soon as the Worse Than Death series is over.
What are you going to do for the Nouva Chronicles?
Aside from being the one to record everything and arrange it all to make a believable video, I'm also going to be making artwork for characters and scenes that will be included within the episodes. I'll also be recording try-outs for voice acting, in case the original creators of the characters are unable to make it to the try-outs themselves. The script, though I'll be writing a major portion of, will be tweaked and modified [accordingly] by those whose characters are going to star in the series.
Possibly fully animated?
How long do you think it would take to make one episode?
I estimate that recording the action on minecraft itself would take several hours, as there's bound to be mess ups and bloopers. Same goes for recording the voice acting (maybe about an hour for that). As for the artwork and editing, even longer. All in all, depending on how many people can show up for recording per day, it'll probably take a week or two. Rest assured, I want this to be a thing and I will work my ass off to make it so.
If I volunteer my character(s), what will I have to do to help out on my end?
As someone who volunteers your character(s), you have the responsibility of sending me the skin of your character(s), the personality they should have during the time the episodes take place, including any nervous ticks and description of their accent that goes with their quirk, and quite a few more things such as: Reviewing the available voice actors to see if they match your character(s), reviewing the script to make sure your character's personality is well reflected, and help create the script in areas that need to be filled in when it comes to your character.
All right, I think I can do all that. How do I go about submitting the character for review?
Unlike signing up for our server, your character won't need to be tweaked (unless you've entered them in Project FW, in which case they need to be reverted back to the way before they were changed). You just need to fill out the basics of the following form and post it in this thread. Keep your eye on the tips for each subject, as they can tell you what each subject means.
Right now we only want trolls to be submitted.
All right, so once I fill out that form will I be given any rewards for volunteering?
Volunteering always comes with rewards. VIP Points are the most used rewards. Though we may have many trolls for this episode series, only a few will get to go to Cristallum and become Eau Lourde. Those few will get the other-selves for the server itself, as if they had actually been there for the original role play series. In meaning you can design an eau lourde version of your troll (if they had been picked) and switch skins at any given time during role playing. Your character will also be able to breathe underwater when they're wearing that skin.
Is there anything I should know if my characters are chosen?
Your characters are almost guaranteed to be chosen, especially if you included everything we asked for. But yes: Please do not pull your character out of the series or make heavy modifications to them during the filming of the first season (Fate and Regrets). If you want them to be pulled out then they can either stay on Nouva if the characters haven't already gone through the portal to Cristallum or they can be killed off (not recommended but if you pull them out suddenly we may have to resort to that out of respect for not using your character anymore). Once filming has started you can not request for us not to use your character in our episodes, as by then we'll most likely have to re-film a lot of stuff or completely change the script. We especially will not remove your character from older episodes even upon request, as we would have to re-film the entire episode(s) where as everyone had worked so hard on those already. Doing so would be really rude and callous.
I want to try-out for voice acting, regardless if I volunteer my character(s) or not. How do I go about it?
Try-outs won't be until we get the main filming done and over with for each episode. As soon as the first episode is filmed we'll hold try-outs. There are requirements to trying out which I'll cover later but you should also know that you might not be picked for voice acting in the current episode. Being chosen for voice acting lies squarely with those who volunteered their characters that are included in the episode.
Try-outs itself will happen over skype calling, in which you'll be given a script of possible characters that you can voice act for. This is where the requirements come in: You need to make sure you have absolutely no background noise, you need to have headphones, you must have a microphone that doesn't create noise when speak, and you must have a decent connection to the internet so that your voice doesn't break. Now the latter of the requirements you can get lucky with even if you have a shit-tastic internet. My internet is pretty bad in itself so sometimes people break up on my end so I'm not going to count it against you if it does it to you. We could have try-outs another time when you're not having difficulties on your end (or on mine).
Now, to sign up for try-outs is a bit easier than volunteering your character. Fill out the form below, making sure to read the tips included with each subject, and post it here in this thread. When it's time for try-outs I'll send you a private message that will include the script you'll need to read off of and a request to call you at what time would be convenient for the both of us.
Is there anything I should know as a voice actor if I'm possibly chosen?
One thing and one thing only - we don't like inconsistency with character's voices. This doesn't mean that we don't like it when you get sick (we just won't record then) but rather that we don't want you quitting on us when the Fate and Regrets season isn't done. Voice actors can change from season to season, but not from episode to episode. It's preferred that they're kept the same and it's not just by me but by other volunteers. It would be really strange that in one episode Vergil sounds just the way he's supposed to, then the next his voice is deeper, then the next his voice is really high-pitched. All though we may able to find suitable replacements, voices are hardly the exact same and will have noticeable differences.

Name: (character's name and pronunciation)
Accent: (how their quirk would sound if it were to be said out loud)
Voice: (How deep their voice would be, if it would sound feminine or masculine - like girly for a guy or boyish for a girl)
Ticks: (what do they do if they're nervous or waiting- something they do unconsciously like twiddling their thumbs or how they laugh -like covering their mouth as they laugh- or sit, etc.)
Profile: (The link to your character in our Characters of Nouva forum. This will tell us their personality/background and description. If they had a different personality and/or background/description when they first joined, which is when this series took place, please include that instead)
Skin: (The download link to their skin, aka the skin you wear on our server - this isn't the same as a picture of them but the literal skin in it's proper layout, so that who ever volunteers to play your character during recording will be able to put it on. Use a website such as mediafire to host it)
